We work with a United States based, on-demand manufacturing partner to ensure that not only do you recieve a garment perfect for your body and needs, but also that we lessen our environmental impact as a brand. On-demand manufacturing allows you to choose from optional customizations to your pieces (like length options and accessibility adaptations) before each garment is cut and sewn just for you in a well lit, open-air facility that respects its employees. This model allows us to serve you with great garments while avoiding excess waste from over ordering materials or over producing inventory.

Brakefields actually started by creating thoughtfully designed pieces that are accessible to women with disabilities, and those considerations remain a cornerstone of our design process today.
